Our group of 31 anxious fishermen invaded Michigan this year on September 28th ready to battle the king salmon on the Pere Marquette river. To sum up the week at Barothy Lodge it would be that the week was unseasonably warm, the water was very low and the salmon fishing action was hot! The big concern was the low water conditions which made it difficult to float some of the prime sections with the boats, but it made for favorable wading conditions. We caught and released some 252 salmon and caught some nice browns, rainbows and steelhead as well.
A wonderful trip and we will be returning next year!
